While they never found the plant they were looking for, they did create a new term for medical marijuana that quickly caught on throughout California – and around the country.
Today, 420 isn’t just another name for medical marijuana. It’s also led to the recognition of April 20th as a community holiday, where people who appreciate all that the plant has done for their health come together.
